mini map and map view missing track

I am running Trainz 2006 on a quad core cpu, 4 gigs memory, 2-750gb discs at 7200rpm, vga geforce9600gt 512m pcie vidio, 22" flat screen.
two questions:
1. Some tracks do not show in mini maps or map view. This is new and was noticed just today. Cause and fix?
2. I still got some jerky movement as on my old computer and noticed the hard drive running. It ran for quite some time maybe for internal operations with nothing to do with trainz I don't know. This the first time on this computer that has happened. Is there some proccess I should shut down before running trainz? Is there a configure stipulating memory use?
Thank you. Robert Graves aka rrbobby.

thanks collins

1. There are missing tracks on all of my maps but not the original supplied maps. Trains run fine and visually the tracks are still there but some are missing in mini map and map view. I brought in my last backup from my other drive and made the last changes on it bring it back to where I was and backed it up and run from there. All is back to normal but I have no idea what caused this to happen.

2. Thanks for the down load. I will study it and see how it applies to my machine.

Thanks again. Robert Graves:D

It may just be that the track files got corrupted somehow but using the backup fixed them.

I am afraid that I have no other explanation for this.

I am glad you got it fixed.

Thanks again Collins. Robert Graves.

I think thats what happened too. The jerky problem has not repeated and since it was accompanied by a long disk read I suspect the system was the culprit doing it's internal work durring my time running. That should not happen. Robet Graves.
