Liebe Trainzer,
Ich habe den Mijack von JointedRail in TRS22 ausprobiert
zu setzen.
Der Ladevorgang wird ebenfalls gestartet, jedoch nur einmal.
Ich kuppelte die Lok ab und fuhr sie auf ein Nebengleis, dann zog ich die Zuggarnitur heraus, nachdem die Beladung beendet war.
Wenn ein weiterer Zug kommt, passiert nichts!
Gibt es dafür eine Lösung? Schade eigentlich, denn optisch sieht das Ganze gut aus.

I tried JointedRail's Mijack in TRS22 to set.

Sadly, these very nice assets no longer work well and haven't in quite some time. Hopefully they can be updated someday.

I had bought the whole thing for Trainz12 and completely forgot that I still had something like this on the old hard drive.
In the TRS22 I set this to 3.5, but I only manage one run, after that the mijack doesn't budge anymore.
If you restart Trainz, it only runs once again.
It must be a script problem, unfortunately I have no idea about it.
 
Unfortunately, I don't either, in the German forum (Trainz.de)
I've already written to a few users, but people with script knowledge are rare.
Maybe N3V reads along here, they should have what it takes.😀

All control of the crane comes from the "JR Intermodal Ramp" asset. I did not realize that the item was no longer working. I shall have to investigate the reason unless someone knows off-hand what the particular behavior is. I would like to see some further development on it but I dont feel that I can dedicate the amount of time it needs to perform flawlessly.

I have the original version, bought from JR but that was a long time ago...
Indeed very sad that this beauty is not working.

The problem is this: in the TRS22, after installing the ramp and accessories, everything is error-free.
If you now let a train drive to the ramp where the mijack and the trailers are waiting, the loading starts after a moment. It all looks great, the mijack loads like in reality.
It would be a great addition for any trainer.
Once the loading is complete, the Mijack stands at the other end of the train and no longer moves.
Likewise, the train with locomotive no longer accepts driving commands.
You can uncouple the locomotive beforehand and park it on a side track and then get the train set out, but even another train is no longer loaded.
The loading track including Mijack is therefore closed.

Me too!

On their site was a warning: This route is ONLY for Trainz12.
And not only with this route.

My first trainz was trs2010 in where it was ok.
Years later I got Tane but then there was that problem.

I have a lot more JR-Routes (also with same warning)
But with some repairing and tweaks they will run in 19 and 22 too.

I hope NS37 can make any difference....

It's possible to "drive" Mijack as a locomotive and it has some options for up and down. Just push some buttons :)
It's a wonderful machine...

I have investigated and made some changes to the items for some outdated code. I wish to release them apart from the American Intermodal route which is outdated for things like speedtree. Since there has been very little in the way of change on the intermodal assets in years I would like to open that up to others but I am unsure how to offer that just yet.
 
I have the old intermodal and the entire Mijack package of 8 pieces.
Since it runs in TRS22, but it is not possible to save the route because the mijack / ramp then hinders the loading, it would be a shame if I can't use this optimally
And I'm certainly not the only one.

Thank you for looking into this and fixing this up. These are some great assets and will be great to have them fully functional again. Maybe just put them on your site as a update like you do for engine sounds,cabs ect?
 
I did a test today with a string of ten well cars. I put the locomotive, well cars, and the crane into the route layer and hit drive. All ten cars were loaded normally, then I pulled them out and backed in another 10. After the minute wait, I got the message loading started and the crane was waiting for a load but the trucks just kept driving through without stopping so I manually stopped a truck under the crane and it grabbed the container, and started the loading process all over again.

This is what it looks like in my test track.
The trucks only have the command "Drive to ramp..."
then a waiting time of 20 seconds.
If there is no train yet, the trucks continue after 20 seconds.
Once a train has arrived and the loading process begins, the trucks remain at the Mijack until containers are loaded.
It works fine in the TRS22+, unfortunately the session cannot be saved, I hope that this great object will be completely functional.

I should've been clearer on this. Put the wait command on the train AI schedule. The Mijack will operate normally but the train will need to pull up to a track mark, wait 20 seconds, then pull forward. This might be enough to force the Mijack to retrigger again and go through the animation. This isn't much different than what we have to do for coalmines and other industries that take loads. If we come in too fast, the coal hoppers, for instance if it's a coalmine, are empty as the AI driver moves quickly through the mine. By putting in a 20 second wait plus a 5 mph/3kph speed limit, this forces the AI to move slowly through the mine.
