Midwest Grain Content Expansions

I apologize if this has been asked already (I've been googling and can't find an answer), I am considering buy one or two of the Midwest Grain expansion packs and it is my understanding that they are Trainz 12 exclusive. I have just ordered Trainz: A New Era and was wondering if Trainz 12 exclusive applies to backdating (As in running them in older builds) and are good to use in newer builds or can they just be used in Trainz 12 alone. I apologize if this question is kind of dumb but I would like to know which game they will be usable in before I buy. Thank you for the help and thank you for the fantastic content!

Midwest Grain was made for TS12, the routes themselves will not work out of the box in TANE as they used the Speedtrees for TS12, which are not usable in TANE as TANE uses a different Speedtree version. The vast majority of items within the content packs ( locomotives and rolling stock) will work in TANE, but as noted before all of this was made specifically for TS12 and we have no plans to fully updated the entire suite of Midwest Grain for TANE at this time.
