I don't know, I have a European computer, but yours is American so is probably different.

Can't give you a lot of information on this problem but a quick google search revealed that the mfx library is most likely a midi interface library - which means you should upgrade your sound driver.
Check your sys-info, go to the correct web site for the vendor of the sound card in your system and download the latest driver set.
Now - having said that, I did notice, after reading a few extra google entries that there was a reference to DirectX - check this version - you should have a minimum of DX9c (I think is current in the 9 series) or DX10 if you have Vista. If you are below DX9c - do a google search for the download site and upgrade from there
