re metro stations
I also have TS2010 and I suggest you look at one of the built in routes "Metropolis - Modula City" If by metro you can include what Europeans call trams and North Americans would call light rail transit, you will see elevated track, elevated stations, ground level stations as well. I have a route using much of this content, but by using elevated track and dedicated right of way (unlike Modula City), you can build a metro system that would meet most definitions of metro (except subways). But if Metro means "all subway" then I'm not aware of any metro system that meets that stiff requirement, (that would exclude Chicago, New York, BART, and so forth) although I'm sure someone will tell me I'm wrong and give an example of a metro system that is 100% subway.
There are many other stations on the DLS, search for tram stations since that it is the common term in Europe (although North Americans tend to use the term "light rail transit"). Some can be used as is, others are just the platform etc intended to be used with an invisible station.
Now if you want to get into subways, there is content on the DLS but I have not gotten into that.
And if you really mean suburban rail, then look at Harlem Line (Metro North) also in TS2010. Many of the Metro North stations are to be seen, although most are too big for my taste, so I scratch build my suburban rail stations using AJS invisible stations and other bits and pieces as needed. On the DLS you can find Bombadier BiLevel equipment used by many of the suburban rail systems in North America (Toronto, Seattle, and others)
