METRA Milwaukee District West Line WIP

Hey Everyone,

After my Ralston City route was abandoned (And yes, I did post it on the forums:hehe: ) I have decided to make an attempt at modeling the METRA Milwaukee District West Line from Chicago Union Station to Elgin/Big Timber Road. These first two pictures are not textured, nor are there any major buildings or neighborhoods or roads etc...

Western Avenue Metra Shops:

Tower A-5 (UP West Line Crosses Milwaukee North and West Lines)

I am currently up to Pacific Junction, Union Station is still...well, not there right now.

So what exactly will this be covering??? CP's C&M & Fox Lake subs or are ya makin' the turn onto the Elgin Sub? I don't know much about Metra other than they are in the way a lot...

I guess I'll go to work on Bensenville, and I may go up to Bryn Mawr. But mainly, I'm focusing on the Metra line. (Pics coming tomorrow of Pacific Jct. I'm planning right now) As for Bensenville Yard, it's going to be very hard for me, considering the two sections, and 294 (I think thats what crosses over by Franklin Park)...and the Belt Cutoff...I'm new to this, so it may take me a while!

Sorry for all of the talk and no pictures. I go back and forth between computers and I'm not on the one with the route, but as I said, I'm looking at pictures and planning how I'm going to tackle Bensenville. With the Western Ave. yard, it was lay the track, and you're done. :hehe: Thanks for the feedback though!

Thanks for the nice comments guys! Today, I'm planning on getting to the Franklin Park Entrance to the Bensenville Yard (Shots coming later, I promise). Thanks to WCL, slave-driver, illinoiscentral, 007007, and bryinmich for the compliments and help with maps and such. So, I'll be getting to Bensenville Yard today, but remember, there will be no textures or towns until the end, so if thats what you're waiting to see, (and I'm not much of a scenery kind of guy), Put you're name down and I'll PM you when its at that point. UPDATE:

I've just hit the Entrance to the Bensenville Yard, and I'm going to stop there for now. There is no crossing that matches the ones in Franklin Park (2L 6T, 4T). So, I'm sorta in a jam.
