Mesothelioma boxcars?

To: Anyone at Auran,

I recognize that Google ads can be a good source of revenue in a forum as heavily travelled as this, but....

Is there no way to filter these ads in some way? Do you realize there is a 1-800 US law firm offering Mesothelioma refrigerated box cars and Mesothelioma railroad boxcars in the upper left corner of the page?

While Mesothelioma is no joke, the ad is ludicrous and only emphasizes the thoughtless robotic nature of these ads.

Please think of this more as an alert than as a criticism.

Did you actually read the Mesothelioma Website?

 ...because just clicking these adds needed or not helps pay for this Auran Community Forums Website!

Quote from the Mesothelioma Help Center Website:Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that is caused by exposure to asbestos. Mesothelioma cancer comes from inhaling or digesting asbestos dust particles. Mesothelioma cancer affects the abdominal cavity, chest cavity, and the region surrounding the heart.

The Link actually reads "Mesothelioma Train Box Cars" tonight anyway....the term Mesothelioma Refrigerated Boxcars is easier to figure...the Term "Train Box Cars" refers to simple insulated box cars....

I all comes down to the use of asbestos as an insulation. No traincars have been offered!

bl4882, I understand your dislike of commercial advertisements on this site, however like I said, clicking pays the bills!

Google's policy is "Do No Harm," that applies in this case...hundreds of thousands of people are suffering & have died from working with asbestos without proper Personal Protective Equipment(PPE).

When a steam locomotive is restored, special certified teams must be called in & the entire locomotive covered with a tarp whilst asbestos is removed by workers in 'space suits', sometimes pictured on the Internet.

The Mesothelioma Help Center is a non-profit website dedicated to helping affected workers & their families...

Hello Backyard,

Thanks for reading my post. I thought I had made myself plain, but maybe I did not. Yes, I followed the link before I made the post. I have nothing against the organization behind it, or against lawyers who secure compensation for persons damaged by asbestos exposure. I had colleagues who represented persons in asbestos litigation and I lost a relative who worked with asbestos to lung disease before the connection to asbestos was fully understood, so I am aware of the problem and the good work the ethical element of the legal profession are trying to accomplish.

My criticism of the "ads by Google" stands, however.

 Hey Bernie, this is the quote I was referring to. My response was to the word offering.

I would note that Google sometimes words phrases that may apply to the topic of the particular website that the add is used. It is very possible that Google Personnel reviewed this before offering the ad.

I thought about this & decided that gosh there may be a member of the Auran Forum Community that has become tired of the mysterious constant pain in their chest....

However thanks for the post & please speak your mind anytime you wish!

Standing corrected

Thanks Backyard,

In view of your comments I must say that I would have phrased my comment more thoughtfully had I given it more time. Sometimes the keyboard is quicker than the mind.

...no problem...!

 You never know...I see Google adds like this all over the web, using keywords that may direct to a totally different topic!

I'm a member of the Norfolk Southern Forums & there was a post November 7, 2008 on this topic...Pittsburgh attorney files 900 asbestos cases in one day!
