Merge spline points?

When building a route - is there a way to sort of "merge" the spline points for different types of assets? For example. I've laid my track, no I want to go back and add spline scenery of the 3rd rail. This obviously needs to follow my track exactly...so is there a way to merge the points, so as I click my track points the 3rd rail would sort of join with it? I hope that question is clear, I couldn't really find a good way to explain it. Thanks in advance - and happy holidays!

Using the Hold Shift Key while laying splines, may allow certain things like splines to overlap, as separate items.

ie: Lay a 36" rails only track, on top of a SG ties only track.

Thats what I was afraid of :/ This is how Ive been doing it, which works for the most part, except certain areas need tweaking ect. Real pain sometimes.

I guess my next question would be, has anyone made any really good 3rd rail track? I was building mine with the Auran 2009 concrete style, which looked REALLY good. It would be nice if someone was able to copy that to add the 3rd rail style, so that way it would be really simple to create 3rd rail layouts. IE: Lay your 3rd rail track, when a junction or grade crossing comes, use the standard style so theres no 3rd rail at those areas.

hi; First time Trainz user/route engineer. Using touchpad version (2010), when laying down tracks of different types, including bridges. I have no idea how to make rails snap together automatically when moved into obviously deliberate proximity. Tried moving/elevating the respective splines to no avail, knowing this can't possibly be this stupidly difficult. Impossible and horribly frustrating. Folks upload routes casually created on their iphones (!!!) all the time. There has to be some cabalistic secret to accomplishing a task so fundamental to route building that i'd like to know. No Shift/Alt/Control/etc keys on touchpads. Where's this hidden button or what's the secret? Please help.

romegas - I am not absolutely sure what you are trying to do do and this might not be the answer to you problem but it is not possible to connect double, triple or quad tracks to different double, triple, quad tracks or to bridges. tunnels, crossings, etc. You need to make the connection with single track splines. Hope I have interpretted you question correctly.
