Merge Route Problems

Hello All,
I am sure this problem has been addressed before but having a slow modem would take me ages to find it...Just direct me there if so..ta..
When I merge two routes in 2009 the end result has some missing ground textures and furrows where squares meet..Similar things happen in 2004 but I know this is not supported anymore (but a solution would be appreciated anyway).I have tried merging "A" with "B" or "B" with "A" but same problem occurs...

Thanks for any advice...(helpful that is)

Yeah,

This is an old issue that was never addressed by the developers. It's considered a low priority issue, probably because the program doesn't crash. The deep furrows and holes can be filled in and textured. Basically, it's annoying but not crucial to operation.

Merge Route problems

I have had the same problem many times. What I have found is that routes do not start at 0.00 in the height terrain. Any route that is merged seems to asume that the boards are all 0.00 and so if the terrain is say 45 then the edge drops down. This problem could be aleviated if all routes were started on the level. I recently joined up Yorkshire parts 1 - 8 and it took a week to level out the huge "crevacies" when i finished the route was superb. So i guess the moral is start route at base level. I was surprised to see it on the Yorshire routes but there is no cure that I know of.

Thank-You JCitron,
At least I know it isn't something I've done like it nearly always is..:hehe:

I thought I was the famous one for that. I always manage to create my own miseries or find them in the most obscure places!
