Menu Bar Disappears

How do I get the main Menu Bar (at the top of the screen) to come back if it vanishes in Surveyor? I think I've hit every key combination I can think of but I can never get it to come back and always resort to Ctl-Alt-Del and ending the program.

When you start Trainz, go to the Menu at the top and check the options.

There's a setting in there for displaying the menu bar in Surveyor. This will bring it back if it has been unchecked by rechecking the box.

Well, Thanks, but mine just vanishes sometimes when I'm in the middle of creating in Surveyor. I don't know exactly what happens.

Yup, unless there's something wrong with your installation the menu bar hides when your mouse isn't in its vincinity. If you move your mouse to the top of the screen it should show up again. As John mentioned you can uncheck "Autohide menu bar" in surveyor options if you don't like this behaviour.

My Menu Bar is unchecked... It's there while I'm in surveyor (mouse in it's vicinity or not) and then, while I'm working, it just vanishes. Is that clear what's going on?

There must be a hot key, or combination of keys that I inadvertantly press while I'm in Surveyor that causes it to vanish. Just thought somebody might know what the keys are or what I'm doing to cause the menu bar to disappear.

ctrl + space ?

Pressing this in Surveyor will hide the whole Surveyor interface though, not just the menu bar (dialog boxes will remain).

Like Jananton says, moving your mouse so that the cursor strokes the top of the screen will make it appear in Surveyor.

When you move the cursor away from the top of the screen the bar will stay put, but only for a few seconds. You just have to move the cursor up again, as and when you need to use the top bar.
