I had this idea derived feom the geomod 1.0 engine. To make the ramps, you have to put an 'empty space' object as part of the ramp, that way, the terrain will be cleared but still showing trainz.

EDIT: To learn about the geomod 1.0 system, look up a game called Red Faction.
