Massive heart attack

Sorry to hear the news Dave but at least you have survived so should now be on the (slow) road to recovery. I can only echo Chris Nawlins' comment about exercise, diet and follow the doctor's advice. And keep taking the pills! I had a moderately serious heart attack in my late 50s but followed the advice and am now 80 and still going strong. You will feel very weak to start with; the first time I went out for a walk I could barely reach the first lamp post but in about a month or so I was strong enough to walk round the estate and I am still able to walk several miles in a day. You may find yourself depressed and inclined to take it out on those round you; I know I did a bit but fortunately my wife was patient with me and we won through.

All the best for your recovery and I am sure that in a few months time we will have the old Dave that we know back with us.

I watched that video and diet seems to be the key:
No Oil
No Fish
No Fowl
No Meat
No Dairy

Eat
Grains
Legumes Lentils
Vegitables
Fruit

Cheyenne Pepper is a powerful stimulant during a heart attack (1 Tbs in a glass of hot water, and cayenne pepper powder placed under the tongue) one doctor says he has never lost a patient

So vegan diet seems the key (boy am I really gonna miss all that lethal cholesterol diet)

The US, UK, Mediterranean areas have the worst cholesterol diet ... whereas China has the best diet and the lowest incidence of heat attack

Get well soon Dave

Upon reading about Steve Jobs, who was a lifelong devout 100% vegan ... a study recommends that a small amount of Fish, Fowl, Meat, Dairy protein is needed to be added into a total vegan diet

As others have said you have made it through the worst part, Dave. I had a heart attack in July of 2014 and I'm doing OK, a little slower and much more relaxed.

Take it one day at a time and take the doctor's advice with a grain of salt. (Oh wait, reduced salt intake, uh... take doctor's advice with a dash of common sense.)

My thoughts will be with you throughout this holiday season.

Hello Dave, I'm sorry to hear these bad news, but I'm glad you made through it.

Best wishes of a quick recovery from me and from the whole TrainZItalia community: we owe you so much we would be never able to thank you enough.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Think of it as a wake up call to focus on the important things in your life. Never pass up the opportunity to tell those close to you that you love them.

Glad to hear that you survived Dave. My neighbor had a massive heart attack 15 years ago, and also survived. He changed his life style, lost weight, and today he's doing well at age 85. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Dave,
The rest of the Trainz community have said it all. I could not say it any better.
God bless you in your recovery and I wish you and your family peace and hope.

Dave, it's hard to find the right words a time like this, but I agree with what everyone has already said in this thread.

Kind regards.
