Sorry guys my demo isn't coming around any time soon because I've experinaced a fatal computer drop and won't be getting the demo back and run again until I can get a gaming laptop that stay's on longer for 30 min. and can fall from a bed more than 10 times without experiancing hardware errors.

Interesting. I use the username jayo most places, but Auran's forums said it was already taken here, so they just made a random username for me! Hence the springtransit moniker! I've never seen any need nor desire to change it! In fact, it has a rather nice ring to it! And only on these forums am I addressed as such!
That said, Looking forward to this! But might I suggest Jaleel's concrete post 3rd rail track? It resembles Metro's track more.

Well my sig is a little deceptive - I'm neither called Dave nor do I drive a Stagecoach of any form, which is why I want to get it changed.
While I'll agree that the other track looks more similar to Metros, at the risk of sounding a little stuck up, the quality of the model is not quite at the standard of the German track I use - its not as well colored, and seems a little chunky. I'll be honest - as long as the track has a protected 3rd rail that looks sort of right and is of good detail - I'm not too concerned about whether its the right track - its a small detail in the scale of things.

Hello trainz forum! I am seeking the best subway and metro cars and routes on the trainz dls. if anyone knows some decent metro content, just let me know!

Okay, I can help you out there! Try Metrorus.ru and download anything with the word Moscow in it and Alterr. That is a brilliant Moscow Route. Also search for him in TrainzDepot.net for his U-bahn Frankfurt Route. Then of course there's MCQ, who has a nice amount of content with different trains you can use. Get it from a simple google search of "U7 Trainz." You may also notice that NYCTA is launching off its hinges with jeffmoriss's WIP route (moving quite quickly) and aceljaldes content (also quite impressive). If your interested in the berlin route, go to TRSBerlin.de for some extra trains and stations as well as routes (and i believe there's still WIPs on there to monitor if you please). If your interested in the Russian Trainz routes, well...keep browsing Metrorus.ru. As for the London Underground or other European Metros, there's some content there (on the dls), including MCQ's stuff.

Has anyone here rode the marta?
I live in atlanta, and let me just say, the MARTA is not the best light rail system in the US. Some mornings, the cars even smell terrible. On the other hand, the DC metro is spectacular! I ride it whenever I get my visa renewed at the Czech embassy, and its a very nice ride. I'm just wondering, is there going to be a route for the DC metro?

I dont have many complaints about the state of the rolling stock and stations, they are generally very clean. What does suck is the 20 minute headways, at that point you may as well start publishing a timetable, there are commuter trains that run at the same frequency in other places. The fares just getting higher and service gets worse.

Tip for riding marta: have your wallet on a chain, and always carry a hidden pocketknife. you would not believe what i saw at decatur station a long time ago....
Also, there are only two amtrak trains a day in ATL, one to new orleans, and another to NYC! and, their always three hours late.
