Hi guys. I need help here please.

I read this thread and looked at the marais pass route, liked it and purchased it. I battled my backside off to download it, 3.5+GB , used up a lot of my cap , and on the third attempt ( after failing twice in the normal dl method ) using a dl manager that resumes it downloaded after taking ages over the last 15% from 55 MB/sec to 0-1 MB/sec and eventually completed after 2 days. Then I wanted to open the MPRRX41_ install file and an error message came up like this :

application error :
exception code:Oxe06d7363.
Address :
Ox7c81120fb
exception data :
Ox19930520
Ox0012FB1B
OxOO414EF8

Greek to me...
I tried the email form at the bottom of the no-reply email HP-Trainz sent me with the password as well as the newsletter form but they both don't work.
Has anybody else had a similar problem.
What I can do to fix this mess please.
Jan.

Jan,

This to me sounds like the download is corrupted. This can happen with large downloads done over the internet especially if the lines are noisy or your ISP has problems. With something like this, I recommend using a file downloader such as free file download manager. www.freedownloadmanager.org This program will buffer the download and allow for starts and stops should the line have something wrong.

Hi John.

On the third attempt I did use a dl manager but it still did not work .There were plenty starts and stops.
I am wondering about HP TRainz .....Don't want to start revving unnescessary though.

This could be a server problem then, or maybe still bad lines. I have downloaded the route myself without a problem, which did take a very long time, so don't worry you're not being ripped off by these guys. Lothar and the other guys are also members here, so perhaps send them a private message and see what they have to say.

Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

Will do thanks Jctron.

Obviously the dl is ok if you did get it right. It is just very frustrating , especially for a beginner at dl routes and other stuff.

Will let you's know.

I have sentan email but no answer yet , has somebody got an address I can try please.Don't want to retry dl and throw away 3GB again.:'(

i have the same route andi had to put the disc in and actually go in and get the cdp files manually because the download system wouldn't work just open to view files and download all of the cdp files manually see if that helps

This thread is 3 months old. He has probably solved it by now.
