Many threads to read to zero threads

This has happened several times, and just happened again five minutes ago.

I check into the forum about once a week or so. Most every time I find that every panel has something to read (using the semaphore signal as a guide). I will begin reading one panel and when I have finished reading the interesting posts in it, I move to the next. Through this process, I work my way down to Screenshots, which is my favorite.

Sometimes, as the thread title says, I will use my browser 'back' button to move back to the main forum panel to get to the next set of threads. There is a brief flurry of activity (I'm not sure it is a refresh, or what) but all the semaphore's drop and every panel goes "forum read" and I KNOW I had more to read.

I am trying to isolate this problem. Has anyone else had this happen to them? If so, what browser/OS are you running?

Mine is Linux (Xubuntu 14.04) and Pale Moon. I have had this happen on my Windows 7 machine running Firefox also.

Maybe when you are looking at a thread someone viewing the main forum clicks "mark all threads as read"?

No, I'm sorry, Sir. That just isn't possible. The 'mark all threads as read' function is LOCAL, I.E. local to YOUR computer and not GLOBAL to the entire web. I am quite certain that I didn't hit that function - even by accident.

Strange indeed, then. I've never (except for the last couple of weeks) had this happen to me. Must be a new "feature". I also doubt that this would happen while one is actually IN the forum and reading posts.
