Hello all:wave:

I found this article quite fascinating, it describes to some length the efforts that canines (canine though I might be, you guys already know how I get my food:hehe:) are going to in their endless attempts to fulfil one of the basic needs of all creatures: procuring something to eat.

Excellent article, thank you very much! It sure is better than painting tunnel entrances on rock faces!

I wouldn't put it off as fake. The idea is not as far fetched as the human brain conceives. If a dog can learn how to not only beg, open doors, perform tricks, use a toilet, heck even help the blind walk. Then I am sure they could do this.

Nice find, Animals are smarter than we give them credit for at times.
(My bolding) What makes you think that animals are only smart at times? Birds know how to build nests, monkeys know how to peel bananas, animals know when to change colour, etc, so animals are as smart as they were meant to be.

I'd take the story with a pinch of salt. Remember it is The Sun, not renowned for accurate news reporting.
Let me guess is it owned by Murdoch? But that's not what my post is about.

I wouldn't put it off as fake. . . Then I am sure they could do this.
Wasn't their a dog (Russia I believe) called Laika or something that use to do similar things, especially catch trains?

By the way, to those that believe animals wouldn't be able to do this, their is a show (now a segment of a show) with a TV pet doctor. He showed a cattle dog with her baby pups in a basket, and the mother dog was counting them with her nose to see if they were all there. I also know of dogs that learnt to open doors, and knock with his paws without being trained.
