major problem with two of my routes

can someone whose a pro at trainz 09 please tell me why the heights and ground textures of my route is missing when it took me half the year to make my route and now my heights and ground textures are missing only objects, tracks and signals appear in the route now. someone please help me out with this i wouldn't want to have to make my whole route over....

I'm not a whiz, but try this: First, back up what you have to a CDP file. Next, see if you have a Revert option available in CMP. Or, look for an older copy of your route. Try searching \Program Files\Auran\TS2009\UserData\trash (I know TS2010 has this folder, not sure about 2009). You could also try a Windows System Restore.

Missing assets

I used to "defrag" my computer every now and then. The items I have not moved for months dissapeared within my TRS 04/06 setups in custom routes.
The computer thought it was not needed or obsolete because it looked like it was not being used (lessons hard learned).
Sometimes I will save very large routes I have edited or make in a new route as a backup like Robe 2 or Robe 3. You can always rename a route for safety because you only have to go back to that point for continuing the edit.
I made a Robe 4 that takes many side routes and total running time of about 6 hours.
