Where is that Trainz for Mac tested in 2006?? Why It isn't relased? I would like to buy it.....I give for that whatever you want....:'( :'( :'(

I love them too...:D
Both are running on Intel CPU, so i think it is possible....

Yes, but the MAC version of Trainz was mothballed at the time when they went through an implosion due to the Fury mess. There was another thread about this recently that said the same thing.

I'll paraphrase what was said before... The Macintosh systems are now running the Intel processor, as you said above. They are quite capable of running Trainz using Boot Camp, Fusion (less graphics support), or now the latest version of Parallels, which has the best graphics support for the emulators.

So Trainz on the Macintosh isn't "dead", it's just been replaced by a better way of running the same product instead of requiring a native and proprietary application for a proprietary system. If anything Auran should work on a native 'nix version, but due to their small staff size, and the cost of development, I don't see this happening any time soon.

Train sims in general are a small market share in the gaming industry and Macs are a small market share of the computer sales. I don't think we'll see a Mac version of the game, especially since you can run Windows through boot camp on the Intel chip machines.

Auran is a small company and probably can't support development of two separate versions. I believe it was Feral Interactive that was porting Trainz over to the Mac. Apple's switch to the Intel chip probably made writing and porting over games a money loser, especially in such a niche market.

I'm a Mac user as well and would love to see an OSX version. I just don't think its ever going to happen. I'm not a big gamer and the only reason I have Windows installed is to run train sims. Just going to have to live with a boot camp partition if I want to enjoy them.

Dave.......

As far as I can remember, the Mac version was put on indefinite suspension. Just as an aside, the TRS06 beta does still work in Leopard (though Snow Leopard who knows).
