Lowering the height on a loco or bogies.

Hi all,

I have recently swapped the bogies on a locomotive and they float off the ground about 9 inches. Is there a way to lower the loco or lower the bogies to be right on the track?

Yes, using hex editor and changing the z coordinate of a.bog0 & a.bog1 in IM-file.

Yes. Substitute invisible bogeys (-10:149) for the existing bogies. Then use PEV's attachment maker to create two new attachment points a.bog2 (front) and a,bog3 (rear) at the correct height for the new bogies. Finally modify the config file to add the two new bogey lines with the new kuid.

This was discussed in a recent thread (doing a search would save others a lot of extra work - but then perhaps it is difficult from Mars!). Search for a post by narrowgauge on this.
