lost my couplers on a tanker

hello to all:I have a tanker that has no couplers on it what I did was to change the bogeys to 45681:50001. the original trucks came with bogeys but they look fake so I changed them how do I get those bogeys back I put in in the config file bogey-2 and kuid:76096:50002> but the tanker says tag bogey-2 and tag bogey-3 not permitted within this train car.so I had to delete both of them. so how do I get these couplers back? is it in the script? any ideas? brakemen

It seems like you are the victim of a design decision by the original creator, who chose to mount the couplers and the bogeys together. This likely means there is only one attachment point that serves both the trucks and couplers. So, if you want couplers, you have to find a set of bogeys that has a better looking coupler that is attached to the bogey, and replace it with that. Since there is only one attachment point at each end, there is no way to add separate couplers, unless you can persuade the original author to add them to the mesh for you.\

wouldn't it be possible to just add attachment points with pevsoft?

Perhaps, I've never tried it. But my impression is, based upon multiple posts over the years, that attachment points are part of the mesh, and have to be added by the one who controls that mesh.
