I have lost most all of Tenders,Coal Unit Train,a lot of Rolling stock, some of Steam Engines..Had a Bar Graph pop up(like EDR Graph)..Which I thought was committing old Items..so I thought..Also my CM is affected..Below is a pic of some of the trouble..

The orange puzzle piece with an exclamation mark means that a dependancy of that car is "Faulty"

Right-Click one of those cars, then left-click "view Dependencies", then left-click "view in main list"...you should see one or some assets with a red exclamation mark...those being Faulty...right-click one of those, select "View errors and warnings".

Hi Bob,

The ???? assets are Russian and the names use the Cyrillic character set instead of the required Western Unicode set.

Thank you John..I have Lost a lot of my engine Tenders and whole trains from the layout..All of IC Coal Hoppers(Unit Train)..I am totally lost on how to fix..I even lost my tender to one if my commissioned Engines..I am very disappointed with N3V..

Did you check which dependency was faulty? The likely culprit is 'default car', which can be fixed by reverting it to original.

Shane: I tried to do what you said, and in all cases it was greyed out..I have sent a E-mail to TrainzItalia, because 4 tenders were theirs..

Hello Bob,

so far, no mail has arrived at our contact desk: our tenders (for US locomotives), as far as I know, should be fully compliant with TS12+SP1 requirements.

Have you tried re-installing them? Let me know about the developments of this issue.

Pendolino: Thanks for your reply..Yes I have tried to re-download and re-install..No success..Have discovered my E-mail didn't make it to you..

Have you tried searching for Faulty:True? If you have, try right-clicking the affected assets and using View Errors and Warnings. It may well be that it's suffered a false positive problem, which should be cleared by using View Errors and Warnings.

Bob, I hate to disappoint you but this probably is no fault of N3V's. Please try the following steps:

1. Open CMP
2. Open the search filter pane
3. Apply the following parameters:
a) Builtin = true
b) Faulty = true
4. Select all assets listed with CTRL+A
5. Right click > Revert To Original

Let us know how this works out for you.

Cheerio,
Nicholas

nicky9499: I followed your instructions--BINGO--It worked..Please explain to me what happened..Thank you so much..

I think what might have happened is it become open for edit and you commit it without realizing it was a built-in asset.

sometimes a database repair opens them for edit or installing 3rd party site assets that also pack those dependencies cause it.
