Looking for routes

In trainz, I am working on a youtube series about a fictional railroad. I have my locomotive selection almost complete, but I have a problem with finding a route. I have created one and It looks alright, but I need to resort to downloading from someone else for the time being. The Youtube series is a steampunk style, set in no specific time or place. As far as I know, steampunk has not been done yet in trainz, so there's very little to work from. Does anyone know where to find a science fiction-ish route, or steampunk-ish buildings? The least I need are Victorian or medieval era buildings, or 20th century industry or factories.

Here's what I'm aiming for-

The railroad, being very large, has several branches. One is mostly farmland (Like the background of Buster Keaton's "The General") but a few villages like this-

Another branch goes deep into the mountains with fierce winters and steep gradients (I already have the Avery-Drexel route as a template to work off of, but I was hoping to look for something like this-
(German Alps)

Or this-
(Canadian Pacific Rockies)

As for the main cities (I'm planning to have 2 or 3)-

And lastly, I hope to have a general backdrop like this-

The one with the sand and the cave dune thing looks like a scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. It looks like the Temple of the Crescent moon.

Those pictures are great, but since steampunk hasn't been done yet, I'm very limited on what I can use. But here's what I have for the cast-

These strike me as somewhat steam punk perhaps with a bit grittier paint job. The one on the left is a steam engine BTW

You might want to look at the Industrial Plant series done by kenichiro (seen in the background of the above screenie) and <kuid:-25:468> Building Factory has always struck me as somewhat steampunk.

edh6 and clam1952 did some Fairlies that are distinctive as are some Bogies done by trainboi1 and togog.

Thanks! I'll definitely include the reading camelbacks and that route! It's a shame the UP tank engines aren't in trainz. Trust me, there's quite a list of steampunk locomotives I would like to include, but aren't available in trainz

No route sorry that is just a collection of kenichiro's industrial plant assets I was fooling with. They might look pretty good mixed with those gothic buildings you've shown.

There are several tank locos, an 0-4-0t by bdaneal and several repaints of it, lilb did a nice 0-6-0t that is on the dls too. With a bit of paint they might have a steampunkish feel to them. Nowhere as cool as the UP engine though.

Edit: These coaches have a nice steam punk look to them and they're on the dls too.

Oh right. Yes, I will look out for the buildings. As for the tank engines, the lilb 0-6-0s are narrow gauge, and might look disproportional with standard gauge wheels. The B&O switcher is not steampunk enough in my opinion. I was looking at the Reading 0-6-0t from Paulz Trainz, but I'm still searching for something

In case you don't know lilb's 0-6-0 Camelback is available as freeware from JointedRails, you will need to register.

I've done some fixes over the past few days and thought I'd show what I've got so far

A ton has been added to the cast, and there's more to come (Obviously some have yet to be reskinned)


Switching and station pilots-

Light freight/passenger, odd jobs (3 on left do light express passenger)-

Heavy Freight/Passenger (heavy Express passenger for the 3 on the far right)-

Coal drag/extra heavy jobs (2 on far left also do heavy express passenger)

(I intend to add an Erie Triplex, SP AC-9, ATSF 3000 class, and a DM&IR Yellowstone?)-
