Does anybody know if there are any grain bins something to these. I'm looking for several different sizes for some modern grain elevators.

EDIT: After looking at the town in Google maps. oh shoot. No google street view around that facility.

No nothing very close, there are a few pics online. Search "South Milford Grain"

Dave, you're not the only one in a slump at the moment. Not sure why, but I feel the same way, haven't made anything new since November '13. Assassin's Creed IV makes a damned good diversion though.

Now, those magnificent grain elevators - they would make a great and very highly used model - but when I look at all those conveyors, platforms and stairs, I just groan thinking of how much work would be involved... If any Trainzers live nearby, maybe they could take some decent texture-worthy photos..

Deane, I'm glad I'm not alone. It takes a lot of interest for me to do anything--- whether it be create for Trainz, watch a movie, TV, etc. or even read a book--- I get bored so easily.

If I were gonna attempt a new grain elevator (I've done quite a few actually) I'd do all that stairwork, metal braces, etc using Alpha's, if you get my drift. Just too dang many polys to make all the metal rods, cylinders, ladders, etc. etc. to do them any other way.

You're not alone, Dave or Deane. It's the time of year, after holiday blues, expenses, and the usual stuff put nicely.

Is this helpful?

Down in south-central Texas in Friona along the Hereford Sub. I probably saw a gazillion of these things while out there, but when you go looking for them, they disappear. If I happen to find more in my travels, I'll post them. I have an idea where they maybe lurking. :)

Theres a kool elevator just outside of the maybe 200 people city of Bliss, ID. I will just leave a link to the picture. Been there several times, its got a EX GTW GP9 as the main locomotive to move hoppers about around the facility. I would also have to suggest that anybody coming to see trains in Idaho pay a visit to Bliss. UP Crews are awesome and the trains don't waste any time getting through there.
