Looking for electric locomotive with pantograph

In Trainz Plus with Surveyor 2.0 I can't find electric locomotives with a pantograph. I want to test a track with caternaries so I need electric locomotives with a pantograph. In Drive a Session I should then be able to toggle the button labeled pantograph to see the pantograph going up or down. I have also tried the DLS, but in the names of the objects I see nothing about pantographs, so that doesn't help. Any help will be much appreciated.

You'd need to check the Trainz Download Station for specific electric trains. I'm from Australia so I'm only familiar with those makes.
For example try looking for say,... <kuid:29535:100379> NSW Cityrail 1957 Comeng 'Sputnik' Single-deck Steel Power Car -TS12
The pantograph works on these cars.
As well as the Power car, they also come with trailer cars too, so you can make complete consists.
Cheers, Roy

Thanks Roy, I found the Power Car and it worked with the pantograph going up and down. When I added three Trailer Cars I could use them as normal passenger cars, but the strange thing was that in the Drive Session window, then in the Driver Control Center, not only was there a driver for the Power Car, but also one driver each for the three Trailer Cars. If I selected one of the Trailer Cars the whole consist would also drive, but the cab view (camera 1) would show a distorted cab interior, and through the window the locomotive or the next trailer car would be visible. Very strange. Is there a way to make these trailer cars behave as normal passenger cars, i.e. that they don't show up in the driver control center?

Now that's strange. Firstly, the layout of a NSW consist is a Power car followed by 2 Trailer cars then a Power car placed in a reverse facing position. In this way when a 4-car consist reaches its destination, it simply reverses to a crossover track, then continues back to its starting point. Generally in NSW the majority of train consists are of 8 cars, so you would duplicate the first 4 cars giving you an overall number of 4 power cars and 4 trailer cars.
If it is set up correctly and coupled, you'll find all 4 pantographs will operate together.
Your query on drivers appearing in trailer cars has never happened to me (I've only ever used T:ANE or TS12) so maybe someone else could answer that for you.

Good luck,
Roy

I don't know the specific assets discussed here, but have some familiarity with pantograph operation in Trainz -though not the most recent versions.

It may be that the creator of these assets scripted the driver figures, rather than have them appear automatically. Or just defined them as attached assets. I do that for situations where there's a driver cab in trailer cars for bi-directional operation.

In selecting a trailer car and cab view, you may have placed your point of view in the trailer car if it has camera locations defined either in its interior config file or its mesh files. What you see as distortion may be cameras defined with unexpected positions or view angles.
