Looking for a route

Hi everyone.

I am looking for a route to play with, and would be grateful for suggestions. It should meet the folllowing criteria:

American
Mountainous
Some Tunnels
At least one High Bridge
Easy to convert to "Old West" (Of course if it is already part Old West that would be good too)

Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

Go to the DLS and check TRS2004. Then search for name of "Wild Bill". You'll find my Colorado narrow gauge route

Bill

I already have Wild Bill, and I'm actually modifying it at the moment (re-gauging, replacement of speed signs and signals with invisible ones)

Kentucky East Sub by Checkrail. This route might crash your trains (it did to mine.....) No offense to Checkrail though.....Say, may I have the Kuids?

Sadly I only have 06.

If/when TheCowboy's Old West layout is released, it'll be a very good day for Trainz. The same for dmdrake's Tall Trees & Boardwalk RR.

Hi Railtrackdelay,

If you have the Routes pack for 2006, you probably have these, but if not..

Cajon Pass by Roymac is a good "out in the desert and mountains" layout, but a little heavy on the computer in some places. Has tunnels (but modern ones). The bridges are kind of too big for the "Old West" but .....

Box Butte & Meg's Despair by GFisher is an ideal one for the Old West, I would say it is a perfect one. It even has a station that loads Old West Passengers (if you have some of Pencil42's passenger cars and Old West stations and so on). He is an expert on that!

Best wishes, Bob P.

No bridge is too big with the Marent Gulch Trestle!

Plus I've just finished downloading the BB&MD's dependencies.

I'm considering Mountain Short Line by MR_D, Ando58's Golden Mile and jjsll54's Feather River.

My Gorre and Daphitid works fine in TRS2006 and uses only built in content, well almost. I accidentally included rolling stock, some not built in. Not a problem.

What is the 'routes pack for 2006', and where do i get it? It sounds like something I'd like to have. I'm currently working with Trainz 2006 and looking for a another route for session development. I have just downloaded Joe Folco's Cumberland to Connellsville (I love it) and I'm working on my first session for it, but Cajon would be a nice change of pace.

Thanks,
Ted

Hi Pequot10, (Sorry, I lost track of this thread, your post was kind of later)

Auran had some route CD's 1-4, for 2006. I don't know if they still sell them.

Like everything else, not all of the routes you would like.

However, Cajon Pass and Box Butte (I think) are available on the DLS. And other routes from those discs... Subway is another one I can think of..

But I know that the Cajon Pass on the DLS is a very slightly older version, and not all the stations had been passenger-enabled. But otherwise, it is the same very nice scenic route.

Best wishes, Bob P.
