Alright now, I reckon it is safe for me to let y'all know now:

This year, FIRST Robotics Competition called it's game this year LOGOMOTION, honoring 20 years of "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology". Here's the site:

This year, we were provided with line tracking sensors, to follow tape "tracks", like, yes, trains. Only serious teams used them effectively during autonomous. THis year, we had to hang inner tubes on a 9x11 foot rack at the end of a 27x54 foot field. At the end of the match, we could deploy minibots to race to the top of toweres for bonus points.

The only reason I post this now is because the season is almost over, and I wasn't looking for suggestions on how to build a robot; I just thought you would want to know now that "we are not alone" in remembering the giant network that makes this modern life possible. And no, that network is not government!:)

If you want to, go on over to Chief Delphi and cruise thier posts for extra info. Please don't haphazardly join (unless you're a member of a registered FRC robotics team).

If you want to volenteer with a local team, by all means contact them and say you want to help! If you don't have a team in your area, go ahead and start one! THis year alone, we had over 400 rookie teams, a new record!

Know what we had for a game hint this year? The album cover art for Little Eva's best-selling "Locomotion"!
