The Download Station and forums are different software, and the Planet Auran database and the forum database seem to be mostly different. You would figure this when all users who registered before November 9, 2006 have their correct join date in their Planet Auran profiles, yet have their join date on the forums all set to the same date, November 9, 2006 (with the exception of the "Helpdesk" account, which shows a join date of November 4, 2006 instead), which might be due to the fact that the rest of the Planet Auran accounts were (automatically?) created in the forum database.
You can check the "Remember Me" (or whatever that box says) below the username and password fields here on the forums when you log in next time, and the forum software will automatically log you in when you use the specific computer that you used when you logged in manually with that box checked. That is how I do it.
