Log wagon..

Hi,

I`m looking for a log wagon to use in place of the item we have as standard, one that will take logs from the `Forest Ind` ? I seem to remember BR used one with solid ends and high stanchions.

(Now if only I could find a tree spline of sitka spruce !)

Many thanks for any help given

I think you're refering to the BR OTA wagons but for trainz industry purposes the wagons by honey monster are appropriate even though I think they're of a fictional outline.

Hi,

I did see the BR OTA wagons, but I couldn`t get the load from `Forest Ind` to fit !!

Many thanks to all

Hello Chairman, below are some links that might be useful to you,

I have found the Honey Monster version, which was mentioned earlier by Klambert, and it looks brilliant, here is the link...

http://ukbl.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=586&start=0&view=print

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, you must be logged into the download station to get the wagon, but it will fit right into a british layout, and works with the forest industry logs.

----------------

I have also found this thread that may be some help to you, if you are not happy with the honeymonster wagon.

----------------

If not, search in your trainz programme for "LOG WAGON" you will get various versions of log wagons, but look out for this one, it will be empty without logs, it is built into the game, and is forestry interactive...

Many thanks to Bill69 for the picture.

This is the one that takes the forestry logs, it has buffers on both ends, so will look like a British Rail wagon of sorts.

Hope any of the above helps you solve your problem

Hi,

I`m going to use the `honeymonster` wagon, it has a shorter length and looks (IMHO) better than the default wagon. The main problem I found with the OCA type was that it only loaded 1 log ... which didn`t look quite right to me.

Many thanks for all the help with this.

copy instead of spline

Setting a large forest can happen in no time, even faster than with splines, using copy and paste--plus you get the added benefit of being able to randomize the results a bit easier than with splines by adding and subtracting a few trees here and there after the pasting's done.
