Does anyone have any recommendations of engines or rolling stock on the DLS or Trainz content website? I'm mostly interested in European content, and while I'm open to modern engines and rolling stock, I'm more interested in steam locomotives and rolling stock from the steam era.

There are lots of third-party websites that have Trainz content. Among the more famous ones is www.trainz.de.

There are also payware sites too including Zatsvisual Works which now offers SLW steam locomotives which are truly beautiful.
