Locating route related files?

First, let me introduce myself to the forum. I originally was a Trainz2004 user a few years back but quickly dropped it for reasons best left unexplained. I have now rejoined the Trainz community via Trainz2009. So far I like what I see even if just a short-time user.
Now to a question. I have downloaded and installed a couple of routes that have a "Read-Me" file attached. I CAN'T find them on my hard drive due to a lack of understanding where the heck they are located. I kind of figured that they are somewhere in my LOCAL directory but everything is labeled "Hash-xx". So can any one give me a clue to how to find a specific file with this system?
Thanks in advance for your help.

In the startup menu for TS2009 there should be an option called CM or Content Manager or Manage Content. It opens a program called Content Manager Plus, where you edit assets, download assets and find assets.

Hope this helps

And now off I go to help the next Trainzer in distress!:hehe:

Generally, don't go messing around with files in the hash-?? directories. Well, it's okay to copy files out of them, but don't alter or move anything. If you open an item for edit in CM, you should see the readme files. In the future, whether you can access those files depends on how the route is provided to you: If it comes in a compressed ZIP or RAR file, odds are good the README will be unzipped to a temporary directory during installation. If the route file is a CDP, AFAIK, your only option is to install the route and then open for edit as mentioned previously.

Using my computer locate the 2009 folder, open it. You will find a folder called docs, the pdf's are there.

The "read me" files for assets are not in the "Docs" sub-directory. They can only be read using the "Edit" function under the Content Manager as outlined above.
Much appreciation for the info provided.
