little question bout signaling

i am starting to work with signaling and i wanted to start with the easy installed usa 04,02 usa signal. i tried some serches on here but i not finding a clear answer . say i have an area i want to have signaling stop? when i put the last signal i want it always reads red. i heard use a dwarf signal? or a permissive red will work?

Problem is the question wasn't very clear - standard procedure is to signal everything, adding a track bumper like signal rail end USA to the end of every track, since that acts as a red signal so the previous signal will be yellow. If you're asking about making a "dark territory" section of the route, then yes, you would need a permissive which would be red. Optionally, let's say you're making a branchline which will be unsignalled, add an invisible permissive signal somewhere on the branchline. Two at the very end would make the one at the end red and the one before that yellow, so entering the branchline that signal would be green.
