Level Crossing Gates/Barriers

I would imagine that if you don't use an ATLS "controller" with these, they will be 'non working'. :)

Search the DLS for "Yard Gate"and "Red Circle". It's a UK style static scenery item not attached to the track so you can make it up to cross any angle or number of tracks.

ATLS are fully independent of any track or crossing. These can be used as barriers to industial areas and can if wanted be operational. The choice is yours.

I've had a look around but cannot see any, do you have a route in mind ?
I really did not think it would be difficult finding static barriers in the down position.

I wonder whether you could use the animated ones but modify the script file so that they will stay down.
I have done a little work with Game Script, and maybe could figure out how to do this.

Edit: Here's a quick (and dirty) way to do it:

Place any operating gated crossing at the location you want it. Preferably, use one of the crossings without track (designed for ATLS system), but doesn't have to be this type.

Place a section of invisible track on one side of the crossing. This needs to be long enough to hold one railcar or loco.
When placing this invisible track, create at least three spline points including the one that joins the track to the crossing.

Lower the two end spline points well below ground level. This is so that your railcar will not be visible on the track.

If the crossing you chose has a road section that you do not wish to be visible, lower the crossing slightly below ground.

Place any railcar on the section of track that is below ground. Note: this needs to be close enough to the crossing to activate it.

When you enter Driver, the crossing will be activated because there is a train within its range for activation.

Good luck.
