Let us remember a special Trainzer….

Three years ago, on September 5, 2007, a very special Trainzer left our Community.

Yes, HJP, Harry_James_Potter, beanpole, beanie, bean, Alastair…..moved on.

Can we all step back a moment, put our differences aside, and remember him,… his knowledge of trains and Trainz, his help given freely to those with questions…and, above all…. his humor.

Respectfully,

Green Signal, express, hopefully he's a better driver in the afterlife than in this world
Jamie
PS Why did Alistair get picked on for being a bad driver??

Rest in peace Alastair , you are truely missed by myself , family , and the
Trainz community .

PS Why did Alistair get picked on for being a bad driver??

He was honored by Auran and added to the engineers list .
Unfortunately his name beginning with an 'A' made him the first engineer
on the list and the most used , therefore he was usually blamed for Auran's
programming , bad driving habits . I believe he had asked to be removed at one time ?

R.I.P. Alastair

this is for the other trainzers that are no longer with us!

I would name a steam engine after him,he certainly was and still is a unique figure,I will not forget him and the others, including elvanor as well!:(

I have not frequented these forums as much as I would have liked since my very dear friend and best mate GrahamEdgar passed away and I am so saddened to read the news that Alistair is no longer with us. He was a larger than life character when I used to be active in the forums and I know he, and his contribution to Trainz, will be sadly missed.

My thoughts are with Bean and all the other Trainzers the world has lost over the years. But when I start feeling sad and depressed I recall something a wise man once told me:

The spirit of a Trainzer never fades away,
they are in our hearts forever, each and every day.
And as long as we remember them as they were before,
they will live within our memories until forever more.

I've got a monument on my route which was made in memory of HJP.. its on the DLS.. great bit of scenery it is.

I remember meeting Alaistair and him letting me drive his locomotive.. under supervision of course, not just hey, here you go, see you later!

I'm sorry for bumping this thread up but now that we have Harry in TRS2010 I have been operating his trains in honor of him.

I believe that I might have been the last person to speak to him (over MSN) before he R.I.P.

We miss you beanie!

not on IRC Russell but on MSN as he and I had a conversation and then it stopped next thing you know well you know.
