Left Branch Signals in TS2009

What conditions have to be satisfied for the semaphores to indicate according to the setting of the points? The "main line" semaphore works OK but the "branch" semaphore remains "on" even though the points are set for the branch. Am I missing something important?

Hi there,

You need to use the T-Feather assets with the signals. They're in the same tab as the sigals, and are called 'Sig T-Feather'. I use straight ones for the main line and left and right ones for the branch lines.

Hope this helps. :)

Kieran.

The branch signal also has to be able to see another signal on the branch and the mainline or it will not show the correct aspect. Depending on the signals you are using they might not need the Feather or Theatre assets as these are only required with certain scripted signals like those of Bloodnok.

Trainz Classics 3 (TC3) was the version of Trainz that originally introduced the scripted signals (along with other features) and forms the basis of what is now the Settle and Carlisle addon for TS09/10/12.

Thanks to all who responded to my "branch semaphore" problem. I've found the useful looking TC3 signalling tutorial - apparently I need some items from "Track Objects" eg Sig UQ Junction and Sig T Feather Left. But they are not amongst my TS2009 Track Objects! I've failed to download them from Download Station - ".... couldn't obtain download URL .....". Frustrated !!

Hello Kieran,
Thanks for trying to help me with my problem re branch signals (semaphores)- delay in reply due to my being away from home. I note what you say but how do I use the "Sig T-Feathers? Where and when do I place them? Am I missing something very obvious?Gordon

This is covered in figures 22 & 23 of the TC3 signalling tutorial.
