Does anyone know why so many Polish layouts have no track and dozens of missing kuids ? I've not come across missing track before as this seems quite a basic requirement of a railway !!
Cheers

The layouts probably use track from one of the Polish Trainz sites. If you can identify the kuid of the missing track you can do a Yahoo or Google search for "kuid xxx:xxx" and usually find it on the net.
Other assets can be deleted in Surveyor with the Delete Missing Assets function, but track can't; so if you don't have it, ironically, you can't get rid of it.

Thanks for your replies guys.
All routes come from DLS, a couple of them only uploaded within last few weeks. There are so many missing kuids 60+ i cannot indentify the track. I just don't see the point in putting a layout on the DLS in this condition unless I'm missing the point somewhere !
Some of the layouts involved are :
Sudety
Maunow-Chorzo
Kkowice-Cemne
There are others as well
Maybe you have to belong to a special Polish secret society to get them to work !! haha

Hello there PJ, I have downloaded virtually all the excellent Polish layouts and as Claude correctly pointed out many of the assets are from the various Polish 3rd party websites that are free to register and you don't need to speak Polish as Google will translate the pages for you......Have a look on the Polish forum for the layout names and you will see which websites to visit, there are a few of them as there are many superb creators making stuff for the community.....Also, search on here for the kuid numbers, particularly the first section of any kuid. For example kuid:81596:xxxxx tells you who the creator is, in this case it's Grabash, then you can search for their stuff accordingly.....Guys like Zieba and Kilanziom are extremely helpful in providing information for their routes and there are many contributors who have given links as to where to find dependencies.

As a reference - dworce = railway station
budynki = building
pobierz = download

Just to get you started, here are a few sites worth visiting -

http://www.grabash.cba.pl/
http://www.skupa.dbv.pl/news.php
http://www.trainz.org/
http://www.sony25.one.pl/
http://www.erniesouchak.cba.pl/dodatki/index.htm
http://thalys.hekko.pl/site/

And don't forget that there are contents from other European countries on their routes also, many from the Czech and Russian sites, etc.
