Hi everyone!

I was wondering, does anyone know of some really good UK layouts and routes available for download? I don't really mind the period, steam or diesel :)

Try mine

Hiya,
Try some of mine.... all UK.
WCL 1, K&ESR in summer and winter guise, Hayling Island plus quite a few others.

I would reccomend Angelah's Routes, they are very well done and a lot of fun to run some consist around.

Cheers

Hi Tanvaras, I have a couple of UK based routes on the DLS.
One is BR Midlands Fantasy which is huge and fictional.

The other is Glasgow Queen St 2007, an update and expansion of Vern's original Glasgow to Falkirk. This one is available for TS09 as well as for TRS2004 through TC3.
Search for user name 'nawlins'.

I think that you will enjoy them both.

Cheers

WOW thanks Angelah I have downloaded a couple of your routes and they are superb! Have you got any smaller one's by any chance? :) by smaller I mean board wise, so only using 6 boards or less? :D & Nawlins your BR Midlands one is very nice :)

Hello grantyboy,
Are you having a problem with large'ish routes? Is your PC jerking while running or something?

If so try going into Preferences and reducing the Draw Distances (both) by about half and also slide on FULL Daytime Fog Effect. That will speed things up. And if you hit a busy area move your viewpoint further above the train so you are looking mor down on it. Once out of the big station you can swing the viewpoint back down again, it's a trick I use a lot.
It would be a pity if you are unable to run longer routes as there are some really nice ones around and I am working on an extension to the WCL 1 route, WCL 2, which will run right out to Westbury from Paddington, a run to get your teeth into.
I made some smaller ones, Hayling Island is fairly small but not as small as 6 boards, and my Tabletop Series are small too. Also Edwards Town & Brambley Hall and also Long Deacon are medium sized.

Have fun. If you have problems post on here or PM me.

:D The routes work fine, its just I find some of them are so long lol! I like short shunting puzzle layouts :) I do like passenger routes aswell though and your Bristol Temple Meads is looking really good! Is it available to download yet? :D

While I am posting, does anyone know how to speed up the downloads in content manager? It seems to take forever to download things! :)

Angelah, Your layouts are alot of fun and very well done. They are worth the reccomendation for anyone to try out. I am sure anyone spending some time with anyone of your layouts will have alot of fun. I have all of your layouts and all are equally enjoyable.

Does anyone know of any good smallish shunting layouts, something with maybe a main station that goes off and lots of sidings near by etc...

Again a UK layout would be great :D

There is one with a shunting yard that I can think of that you would like but I've forgot the name of it!
It was by honneymonster someone here is bound to know the name of it and tell you, I've had a look around for it, but I've got that many I can't fined it, my memory is just not what it used to be.
Growing old is no fun.

thanks! I had a look for that username too and couldn't find anything! yer I am sure that someone will know the name of it :)

Wow thanks!

The thread is really good, shame it doesn't have thumbnails of the routes! Thanks for the username aswell it works :D

the one by honeymonster1971 is call UKBL Demo AJS but it's not the one I was thinking of but have a look at this one anyway.

edit} If you like small, check out PECO BR EARLY to see what a marster builder can do in less than two blocks...............you'll be amazed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
