Very sad video.
Never got to see the trains run through West Oakland. Though the tracks remain through the streets and I've passed by them many of times when I visited down there and rode the 14, an AC Transit route which no longer runs through West Oakland. :''(

Well at least someone is trying to educate and preserve the old ways. Nowadays it's becoming quite awful. I'm lost for words. Oh well.

​Yeah well I don't think these were very good changes. Besides working for the railroad was the best thing a man could ever do. Everyone was so respectful and nowadays everyone is impolite towards them. That I WILL NOT accept. Neither should anyone.

I've contacted BNSF @2650 Lou Menk Drive Fort Worth, TX 76131-2830. There's a lot in this video that needs to be reported.

First, I don't think those gensets meet tier-4 standards. Secondly, the entire train crew is not wearing their safety vests. Also, they are smoking and that ain't right. In fact, they're too old to be the train crew; the train was being joy-rided by a group of senior citizens. Fourth, they do not have a working EOT; in fact the last car can not be identified. Lastly, they failed to report all those trespassers that are within 100ft of the tracks. It's a shame that Oakland's finest were too busy to run off those protesters.

I live 4 or 5 houses from where there was once a very similar line (I think, it's a bike path now) wish I had seen it when it was alive.
