*large screenshots* HORN ISLE - would any of you believe me if i were to say that every inch of this route is being sculpted by hand?

The main island, "Horn Isle" itself, stretches 49 miles at its longest point. It's got atleast the square mileage of London on its own, not counting the other minor islands. There will be another in the top right as well.

Please excuse the rather unsightly island in the bottom left - I've not got the shape figured out. (Any suggestions to make it look better are welcome!)

The scene is British outline steam, it'll have different versions for the deferent decades; an 1830s one, 1840s, so on until the 1960s. The premise is to make something so utterly complete and satisfying and expansive that for someone interested in British outline steam, this route would be the only one you'd ever need. Canals, roads, narrow gauge, lots of nice branches and a good mainline for them to stem off of. Or really just about anything else that would fit the setting. which is why it's islands as opposed to a section of continent; land leading off to the edge of the map would feel unsatisfying and incomplete. I've been working on it nearly two years now. Once the terrain is done by, say, around the end of this year, I get to do the fun part of actually putting stuff on it. that should take another 2. I do believe, as far as I am aware, that no one has ever sculpted as much terrain for this game as I have. or, atleast, I would like to think so. If anyone can disprove that, I would be delighted and ecstatic to learn from you.

If, as I have, you've ever gawked at a picture of welsh country or old mills or retaining walls or terraced houses or quarries and so on, or get something in your eyes when you listen to "night mail", this route is for you.
