Here is an unusual one for the military minded, an Lancia Armoured car converted for use on railway by the Railway Protection Repair and Maintenance Corps at Inchicore Works from 1921 to 1923. (approx 50 in total).

I really like your scenery objects, by the way. I use them all over even though my route is North American. I live up in New England with lots of Georgian Houses and little commercial buildings that look a lot like the ones you've made.

Just had to read this post when I saw the thread title. Most bizarre indeed and very interesting. Doubt one will turn up in the Beeb's latest 'History of Ireland' series that started this week though!
I seen this post some time ago and said to myself ""Whats the story with these yokes"" . I came accross this web page that gives more details. It look's like there were seven of these lorrys converted to patrol the railways in the Irish civil war back in 1922/23. They also put armoured plats on some steam loco's in a rather Mad Max type of set up.
