<kuid2:45324:555246:4> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v1.43 works perfectly for the Compressor sounds and the top animated fans turn on underload.
The latest version <kuid2:45324:555246:7> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v 1.46d, no animated Fans and no Compressor sounds.
I have to keep deleting it from the content manager to get the buitin one that works perfectly.
The issue is it keeps updating automatically after a few hours. How do I stop the newer version from getting installed?
I have auto asset updates turned off in the settings.

Increase the kuid # above the latest version.

Are you sure that it just hasn't finished validating yet? The fans and compressor effects work just fine in :7 of TFX, which was primarily a fix for other things. a :8 is the current version on the DLS...

With the <kuid2:45324:555246:4> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v1.43, and the <kuid2:45324:54002:8> Locomotive sound effects library v1.3 The Compressor sounds on the SD 70s will be working perfectly, and also the Compressor sounds starting up happens when the air brakes are fully applied. Then the Compressor will shut down and stay off when the air brakes are off.

The Top SD 70s Radiator Fans are off when I first go into Surveyor then they start, after a few seconds then shut back off again after about a min. or so. When in Driver mode they work according to the Coupled cars load. that I really think is cool. no pun intended.

In Driver Mode there used to be a notification that had a long notify line giving out the Engine temps, fans would come on at 178 degrees and then shut back off at less than 178 degrees. But now that notification has gone away never to be seen again for some weird reason that I can not get it to show up again. When I ctrl and right click on the engine I then click notify and all I get is that the current driver has completed all of its tasks, I do not have a clue why it states that on a new clean no session test map.

Then after a few days the compressor sounds are gone and the top Radiator fans will never come on at all.
When I check the dependencies again the <kuid2:45324:555246:7> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v 1.46d has reinstalled itself.
I deleted it again, and the <kuid2:45324:555246:4> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v1.43 comes back to the builtin version v 1.43.
Then all of the effects are working again. I can not keep the newer v 1.46d from reinstalling itself and obsoleting the builtin one.
I have turned off no auto asset updates.

But there is nothing wrong with the <kuid2:45324:555246:7> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v 1.46 script, none of what you are commenting about is changed and it demonstrably works to provide all of the intended effects when tried.
<kuid2:45324:555246:8> Jointed Rail Train Effects library v 1.47 is the current version on the DLS.
The driver mode notification messages is just the debug setting in the settings panel.
You are not going to be able to increase the kuid of a built-in item.

This is maybe the 4th thread about this subject, but there has been no evidence that anything has actually gone wrong. In one post you said a database repair fixed it. My advice is to let the new ones install and allow them to validate and compile everything.

The Debug settings are turned on, it was never turned off when the notify dissapeared.
You know it just may be due to Trainz build 122411 is the issue. Maybe it is just too old to work with your newer assets.
I will install an updated Trainz version alongside my 122411 and do some testing there.
Maybe the notifications will be working in a newer build number.
Yes I completely understand that I can not change any kuid numbers of someone else's assets. I have always known that.
That is why I sometimes ask for your permission to update your older versions of bogies, engine sounds ect.
Just to let you know that I never get angry or upset with working in Trainz as it is an awesome hobby to pass my time with.
