'Keep TRS22 Forever' hoax.

Please trust me on this, I can assure you we haven't turned anything off and we have been receiving Paypal payments regularly throughout today.

We've tested the systems and they are working. the issue is somewhere at your end. Perhaps check in your Paypal account to see if they have put a hold on anything. We know they have tightened up their verification processes recently.

We've also checked SailorDan account and there are no attempted payments shown.

I've deleted your account from the "Chargebee" system we use, so that means when you make another attempt you'll see the "Create a Membership" option and you'll need to re-enter your paypal details. Perhaps that will help.

Also note the promotion has been very successful and we extended it for two weeks to allow more people access rather than shut people out. The promo has ended but given you were attempting to join we will arrange to ensure you qualify for the special offer once you work out the Paypal issue.

No. You can just make out from the image that the problem is with the "N3V GAMES PTY LTD" account. That's the one that has been turned off.

That's what I would expect - it simply looped to the 'Updated OK' message, without any attempt to process anything.

Dealing with the problem on a case-by-case basis will take a lot of time and effort. Are you going to do it for everyone who attempted to process a payment on January 30th, but could not find out how to report it and just gave up?
 
Sailordan it looks like things get sorted out and probaly at your site the payment did not go all the way to n3v for whatever reason.
I suggest you change the header of your thread to something else but not a hoax.
Many times I see threads with wrong negative message proven to be something eles and not that bad as the thread header suggest.
 
Sailordan, I know things are frustrating when they don't work but as I've said, we've tested a payment here successfully. Other people are using Paypal without issue. So far, one person is reporting an issue with Paypal (you).

That doesn't mean others aren't affected and haven't told us yet, but it does indicate the problem is more likely to be between our system, your browser and your Paypal account.

I've included an image showing some recent Paypal payments to demonstrate things are working (for at least some people). I'm not making this up.


I can't make out anything in your image other than the processing part, but what we know is something is preventing the payment being processed.

I would suggest:
* try other browsers,
* try changing the security settings on your existing browser
* ensure popups are allowed
* clear cookies
* ensure your Paypal account has up to date bank or credit card information

UPDATE 10:25am: I did another test using Edge [FONT=&quot]Version 97.0.1072.76 (Official build) (64-bit) [/FONT]and that is failing (not in the way you're seeing - it simply dumps you into an error script).
Another test on an older version of Edge does work without any errors.
It could be that Microsoft have decided to break things rather than N3V Games.
I will get our web guy to investigate but he is off sick today.

As info... I do websites for a living (with cart systems) and I can tell you that problems may occur if the customer email used to purchase item on site is different than the PayPal account email. That might be something to check.
 
Update: This issue is a Paypal authentication problem. Our website links to Paypal, then their code handles the transaction. To complicate things, it is failing at the Google capture stage (in our test case).

We've identified that turning on 2 Factor Authentication in Paypal resolves the issue in Edge. We have a support request in with Paypal to see what else can be done but at this stage there are several ways around the problem:
- use Chrome browser
- setup 2FA with Paypal and use Edge

Thank you for finally accepting that the issue is not with the user account. I look forward to hearing the results of your requests to PayPal for fixing the problem with the payment process and hope that it is prompt enough to enable the original commitment to be honoured. It is unfortunate that the logs may not be adequate for identifying the sales that were lost and that could have been followed up.
 
I'm not interested in playing the TRS2022 Beta. I'm waiting on the "Final Product." Am I still good? I paid my money in December.
 
And to you SailorDan, advance thanks for finally accepting that it was not N3V's fault and that the product option is indeed not a hoax. I too wish that they could follow-up any potential lost sales, both in terms of PayPal's issue, but also on the back of a thread titled in such an inaccurate and accusatory manner.
 
Sailordan, to be clear, it requires non-2FA, Edge and possibly something else for the problem we are seeing to occur. Your issue is different but hopefully similar enough that it is related. Paypal are also notorious for poor support so we may or may not hear from them. We've also raised the issue through our membership provider so hopefully something can be done. It would be interesting if 2FA fixes the issue for you - you can always turn it off again.

davesnow - Yes, you're all good. Still planning on the official release late Q1.
 
We've identified the issue which is with Paypal's "authentication" protocols.

Basically if your Paypal account does not have all the information they require, this loop occurs (which is a bug, but only Paypal can fix it). Logging in to your Paypal account and adding the requested details should solve the problem. (E.g. adding a D.o.B was the missing piece in our test case).

Adding 2FA will also resolve the issue.

So, the N3V hoax is resolved - it was Paypal not wanting to co-operate rather than anything within our control.

If this doesn't resolve your issue, please submit a helpdesk ticket.

Sidenote: I quitted TRS2019 SP4 since continuous CTD's turned it into a nuisance and not a relaxing activity. Trs2022 beta is not CTD'ing fortunately but it's just a beta!!!!!

Before you, kind guys, telling me about checking the forums for threads related to solve CTD'ing: I've read them all and no solution worked after upgrading to SP's. First virgin version worked fine. Too lazy to delete it thoroughfully and re-install!!!! I'm older now. :wave: :hehe:

Trainz in 2922 will be interesting! ;)

The TRS 2022 Early Access version should be ready real soon. Dates are provided as a guide, but as you say, fixing bugs is more important than hitting the dates.
