Juice up your server(s)

auran. What good is a FCT when your limited to 1000. results cause of server maximum load and it takes 1min or MORE to wait for the next page to load each time on the DLS? I can remember not to long ago that with a FCT you could search the DLS in no time. Seems not any more. Those of us with high speed connections would like the old day's of fast searching to come back to the DLS. Auran please spend some money on your servers or whatever to get us back to the day's of Fast searching when were on the DLS. It's like the Dial Up day's. Very frustrating.

I have been trying since saturday 12.20 pm to download via content manager 3.5

Saturday afternoon nothimg, saturday evening nothing, sunday morning nothing, sunday afternoon drip downloading.. dloads quickly but takes 20 minutes between downloads, now apparently i have reached my "100mb quota!" .. news to me, thought FCT was surposed to solve this.

This is now the 3rd weekend in a row this has happened.

Maybe change topic title to "Sort out your services..."

Can we apply for a refund for the days (a week now in total) that we are unable to use the content manager download service.

You could try for a rebate, but I don't know how far you'll get. Do you get that from your phone company or electric company when the services go out? :hehe:

I have noticed that overall the internet is really slow this weekend, and I'm not just saying connecting to Auran/N3V's DLS server. Remember the kids are all out of school now on summer vacation, and none of these kids go outside anymore. They plunk their but down in front of the computer and play games and download movies all day.

Yes I do, and my ADSL provider, more than 24 hours and I can claim a refund, in the case of electric its 12 hours as that is when food in the freezer begins to defrost.

Before you take that route, have you made sure that you have done everything you can do at your end?

In the case of FCT's, that includes changing your password on your profile, clearing your download helper list, and doing a database repair.
