Hi,

Yes order placed.

One point though following on from the ordering of TC3.

I have paid the full postage, but again will the orders be despatched through Mike 10.

Cheers, John

greywolf,

Are you entering BETA in the first box and then the next series of numbers ?
And it is case sensitive -- all caps .

Where is the Beta download?

I pre-ordered and paid but when I hit the confirm button I received an error in the page. After going to Order History in my profile, it shows ordered and pending status.

So where or how do I get the Beta download?
Or did I miss the chance to get the Beta?
Or am I just to impatient and need to wait for another e-mail?

OK, I looked a third time... I missed the whole "Beta access information will be sent to your Planet Auran email address."

If you have a serial number and internet access then you should be able to do it. It may take a while though!

Hello Mr. D,

I think it depends on what OS you are using, some folks have already had problems downloading this beta with Vista, and don't forget that it's 2.6 gigs, and depending when you download it, could take several hours, some have been lucky and done it in 1 hour, others have given up trying.
You are recommended to install a free download manager, something like http://www.freedownloadmanager.org/ which increases the speed and helps if you get disconnected from the web.
It was also a suggestion to attempt downloading late at night when there are less people about on the internet.

Give it a try, you might be successful.....

Unable to D/L for two days now.

When I click on the download link, the entire process lasted about 2 seconds. The 'shell' of the ZIP file was downloaded, but nothing else. I've tried approximately 10 times now with the same results.

Well I got the download easy enough, took 45 minutes, installed and it does not create a desktop icon like it says it will and the options screen always pops up and will not go away, so unable to start trs 09. Another email to helpdesk I guess

Mr.D....

Works on my laptop just fine...as do TC 1,2,3 and TRS2006.

Be sure to use the Download Helper when you d/l...makes it a lot easier.

Note sure of the Internet connection where you are...it will take some time...using DSL here took about 2.5 hours.

My laptop specs are Pentium M, 1.7Ghz...2 G Ram, and Nvidia Quadro Pro 700 GO and 7200 rpm drives. It's a Dell Workstation laptop.

TS2009 runs fine.

HTH,

I shouldn't need a download manager to increase the speed as I'm on ADSL and my peak speed usually is about 800kB/sec. Trying to download the beta the peak speed has been about 80kB/sec! Looks like the bandwidth from the server is pretty low. Wonder if it's using the normal server and not the one used by the fast ticket system?

What does it say on the options screen Greywolf? It should ask for your serial key and Planet Auran username and password. If you are running in Vista use Administrator mode.

The downloads are from a brand new server with a 100Mb/s pipe. We've served over 1,000 x 2.5GB downloads in less than a week. It was an interesting test for us and shows we'll need 3-4 times that capacity on launch day.
