Japan

Hi everyone I'm a bit new to the Trainz scene so I wanted to ask...Does anyone know where I can download these types of trains:
-JNR steam locomotives (preferably newer, high quality models)
-experimental Shinkansen models (WIN 350, 300x, and ALFA-X)
-Shinkansen series that's not featured on DLS (W7/E7, E8, and East-i)

keimei has some JNR steam up on the DLS made back for 2009. They should be alright. I don't know about the shinkansens.

Hi NkpDude, welcome to Trainz. I can help you locate the ALFA-X, W7/E7, and East-i

ALFA-X: https://web.archive.org/web/20210922012454/http://jirctrainz.com/work-in-progress/ E6 Shinkansen is also on this page
W7/E7: https://www.jirctrainz.com/trainz Scroll down towards the bottom, next to the Sagami Railway EMU Pack
East-i: https://www.socimi.it/e926-series-east-i-inspection-train/

Hi gang!! It
s been a long time. Nice to see this thread is still around. I've been wondering if I should get Trainz 22, and is it compatible with the Japanese stuff from the earlier versions? Also, I was wondering if any new Commuter or limited Japan express trains are in the works or being made. I'm kinda looking for the Centa Air Blue and Red trains that work the Central Japan rail line and that new Limited Express train that will take the place of the old 381 series. Well, good luck on your projects.

Does anyone know where I could purchase the following trains?

JIRC 223 (Hanwa Line)
JIRC 223 (Tokaido Line)

It tells me to contact the author, I sent an email asking to purchase them. But no response since December 2024!

Hey, I installed Trainz 22, but when I try to upload and play the Japan Model Railroad layout, it always crashes. Has anyone had this problem? The trains work, but the layout doesn't.

Yes, I have the exact same issue. I have reported it to N3V Games, not sure what's being done to fix it

The Hamwa and Nambu lines are heaps better same with the Chiyoda line
Nambu can be found via the authors original website via wayback machine or elsewhere ??
Hanwa is a payware line https://khbjp.weebly.com/

Anybody know what train is this and what line it's on? I thought it was a new Tokaido train.

They're refurbished Kintetsu limited express trains, built in the latter half of the 1970s, in the current color scheme in wich they were repainted starting from 2017.
The front one is a 12X000 Series set (either 12400, 12410 or 12600 Series), the rear set, with the double-decker coaches is a 30000 Series "Vista Car".

Here's their original color scheme:

.
Keimei's 30000 Series "Vista Car" model in the original color scheme (exactly like the picture above) is available on the DLS.
