Hi Pagroove, Whenever I download a Route with Sessions, on a few occasions I have found that some Sessions do not have the same initial data that the original Route was built with. So I always have a very good look at the Route first to see whether it is something I could run a number of trains with, and enjoy myself at the same time. Generally once a Route has been established, people try different Sessions to see if they like them or maybe run one of their own trains on it. It's then that the Session might get changed but the Route stays the same.
Anyway I was looking at your Route, not any Sessions, when I found some tunnels that were blocked by the ground texture. On some tunnels it will always show as blocked, but with Tunnel Beton (which I use a lot myself) it needs a 'single' track (not double tracks or double bridge tracks) joined at the spline point to keep the tunnel 'open'. I still have to be careful not to squeeze the single track too close, just in case the 'double track' actually 'locks' onto the tunnel spline, which will then cause the tunnel to block again. Using the 'Shift' key helps to control it.
I have attached two screenshots of the two tunnel portals (one at either end) which I found. One shows the blocked tunnel and the second photo shows what I have done to un-block the tunnel entrance. (As yet, I still have not squeezed the double track close enough to finish it - I'll do that later.)

There is no problem with the Tunnel Beton 2TE, except I consider that it is 'very white' and it would be nice if a 'grey concrete' one was available. Maybe someone knows how to change the colour, but I don't.

It's no big deal, but because I think you've put a lot of time and energy into this project, it's nice to know that everyone appreciates all your work. Remember any suggestions I may offer is only constructive. Cheers.

Thanks for posting the shots. I know it is meant as constructive suggestions so now worries there. But this case is a big deal for me because I swear that in Routemode only in my surveyor that tunnel shows absolutely unblocked. So the issue that you mention means for me that routes don't translate that well to other systems and I wonder what could be the cause. Maybe this is due to different Trainz versions? Before uploading I also updated all the out of date assets that where used by my route. The help page of Shane Turner was very handy during my time in content manager :).

I will recheck the route tonight and post my results and Trainz version.

BTW I also know the method that you describe that you cannot use a double track to connect to the tunnel. How many tunnels are blocked? Anyway this is valuable feedback for me so thanks for taking the time:).

I checked on the same location in surveyor in Route mode. The Tunnel entrances are free on my system. And this is in Route only mode.
Trainz build is pre Sp1 (Trainz 12 patch 2). I did not patch because that can cause some issues too. Otherwise I did update all out of date assets via content manager via the filter out of date=true and then followed the instructions on the page of Shane Turner. Only limited the list to the assets that are used in my route.
The other side of the hill is unblocked too.

Pagroove: Nice trailer, I also checked the entire shinkansen route and I have the same issues, most of the tunnels are blocked like in the first picture of Roy3b3, the ones that aren’t blocked aren’t directly connected to the ‘Concrete Bridges’ but to single tracks.
Maybe like you said yourself replacing them with Hirochi’s new tunnels?

Also small issue with buildings on the tracks I noticed as seen in the next 2 pics, both are at the station Blue line Mitsu.

test10_zps0l1byp2k.png

This with previous one might be related with an problem created when importing/downloading an route, I know I had in the past when I imported my sagoda route towards ts12 suddently splinepoints and tracks where reset to the ground or put somewhere high up in the air, I never have been able to find an solution trough except for placing/angling everything again.

Marinemania: great hornsound.

Butler57: I can remember seeing the pictures which where great and some nice content she made too, Andi_Ridho_Ciputra is making the Yamanote line which is also stopping at Tokyo station so you might see one from him in the future, route will be payware trough.

Gp792: This one? http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/chihuahua_girly/8606038.html
If yes then I don’t know of any available, Andi_Ridho_Ciputra might be interested in creating one since he already made an few trains of Tokyo Metro but 1000 is an very old one so hard to say.

@ Acelaamtrak Thanks for checking. Very strange issues. Those buildings I don't even recognize. And I certainly didn't place them myself. I checked of course that section too. A screenshot was even included in the release message a few pages back.

On which build are you?

To other users who use my route. Do you all have those issues or is this just on some builds of Trainz?

In future I'm going either replace all tunnels or disconnect them directly as suggested by Roy3b3 (thanks for suggesting again Roy ). But first I want to know if it is maybe time to patch up to a higher build or that that doesn't solve the problems.

In the meantime you can fix the route issues yourself ( :() as per instructions by Roy3b3. I'm only a bit sad as I had hoped that v2.0. was a clean release without too big issues.

Hi Pagroove, I notice on your screenshot you have TS12 Build 48249, whereas mine is TS12 Build 61388, ... so maybe there could be a problem between the different 'builds'. I have no knowledge what those differences may be.

Also when I saw Acelaamtrak's screenshots of the buildings scattered around, I then checked the whole of the route myself, only to find the same buildings (Concrete Office 16 ML 1) scattered in and around various other buildings, covering the track, etc., but it was just in that one area Blue Line Mitsu - Anyway, I deleted them and saved the route. I then went back later and re-opened the same area and they are now gone. What caused it, I have no idea.

In thinking about what you said, I created a different File name for the Route and saved it. Then I deleted the original Electro Island V2.0 download files and completed a whole new download Routes and Sessions. However, the new download Route still shows the same problems as I had previously mentioned. (i.e. blocked tunnels and scattered buildings in the Blue Line Mitsu area. When I opened the Shinkansen Session, I skipped over to the Blue Line Mitsu area and saw the same thing, scattered buildings blocking the track.

I was wondering if the ICL line was completed yet or is this still a work in progress? The only reason I asked was, there were no 'Invisible Station' installed at "Blueline ICL Hazima Valley (NB/SB)" or at "ICL Mizaki (NB/SB)" . I thought these may be 'Through' (Non-stopping) lines. Also on the 'Sessions' they are not installed either. But if you have installed them, then maybe there could be a problem between the 'TS12 Builds'. This is something I have no experience with. Good luck!
Cheers,
Roy3b3

I'm beginning to think that it is caused by different builds in combination with some quirks between different builds with the tunnel Beton 2TE.

In thinking about what you said, I created a different File name for the Route and saved it. Then I deleted the original Electro Island V2.0 download files and completed a whole new download Routes and Sessions. The buildings are probably also some artifacts between different builds. Here's the plan. I wait a bit if there are more users that have problems. If not that means that this Tunnel and buildings problem is ons some or more builds. But it probably also means that some users can run my route fine. If there are more issues then I'm gonna probably try to patch up Trainz 12 to the newest version. But this also means long database repairs and redownloads on my system. That is because I have read that upgrading patching can also cause new database errors with content that was previously working fine. I wanted to save myself the frustration of constant patching and enjoy the fun side of Trainz. Then when TANE is out I probably gonna buy that and continue on that (as it is 64 bit and the framerates/draw distances) are hopefully better. But releasing a route is nevertheless a new experience for me. Thank you guys for taking the extensive time to look into the issues. :).

I was wondering if the ICL line was completed yet or is this still a work in progress?
The only reason I asked was, there were no 'Invisible Station' installed at "Blueline ICL Hazima Valley (NB/SB)" or at "ICL Mizaki (NB/SB)"

That is correct. It is one of the lines that is drivable but not all stations are redone. So indeed a work in progress.

. Good luck!
Cheers,
Roy3b3

Thank you and have fun exploring the island :).

Pagroove: same as Roy3b3 I have built 61388 so the problem might indeed be the different builts.
If you patch up ts12 you can better make an backup of the entire trainz folder if you have enough place for it, you can then place it back if there are to many issues, I can remember no real issues with patch 61388 but you never know.

Hirochi: nice cabin, I also like your 3th pic.

Pagroove: My build is 61388 also. I couldn't find those strange buildings scattered about, but I did find blocked tunnels. Here's three of them:

Thanks for reporting Bill. Gonna patch up to 61388 now (wish me luck) I have already made a full backup of my Trainz 12 folder. Then hopefully after I'm on 61388 then I'm gonna make a fixed version.

So pre sp1 users can probably use Electro Island v 2.0. without the tunnel problem.

Pagroove, I never had any problems with the update to 61388 myself; I did it overnight, but good luck anyway. Cheers,
Roy3b3

well I've yet to download it but as far as the tunnel problem it could be the land over it either doesn't cover the tunnel portal fully or is too far back from the portal to be fully covered. I'll download it this weekend and see what happens.
Hey Hirochi. nice new Shinkansen cab controls. Are you making the bridges in the last picture for the NG trains? that would be cool!!

Important Electro Island 2.0. service announcement

Currently I can confirm that the route is broken on build 61388 but probably on all builds higher than Trainz 12 SP1.

Fix
If you plan on downloading my route you can better wait till I come with a fix. I will bring a new version 2.1 out during next week for Electro Island users that use a higher build than Trainz 12 sp1.

I just went to a 13+ hour long session to reinstall Trainz 12 and patch it up to the highest build (while also keeping a pre SP 1 build with all content as backup) to be able to confirm that the Tunnel Beton 2TE has issues in build 61388 but probably in all post SP1 builds. However as Roy3b3 said it is easy to fix. I will soon repair all tunnel entrances. Replacement with the Hirochi tunnels is for the future.

Again thanks for reporting Roy3b3 :).

Electro Island v 2.1 (due to come in the coming weeks) will be a fix only release to ensure that post SP1 users will be able to use the route. No new content will be added.

I'm sorry that I could not see this problem earlier.

If you have a pre SP1 build then there is no problem. You can download version 2.0 and it will work fine. The few dependencies that are missing are non critical

I tested these pre SP1 builds:

Build 48249: Works fine no tunnel problems no building problems
Build 49922. Works fine no tunnel problems no building problems

Best of effort, videos and progress

I decided to do a Enoden Line train based of this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nywsQFuH1u0

Cool there should be plenty content from the creators Hirochi, Keimei, Hanshi9501, rossolabo, Kenichiro, uso800, trainman184, tokkyu40, dinorius_redundicus, sudasana, arrial, and matura to do it; most their content is on the DLS execpt for Hanshins' it's on a seperate website here-> http://hanshin9501.cocolog-nifty.com/.
If you are ever interested try your hand at the full length line.

Heres' a video from the front EMU carriage, by Japan Train Viewing.

The ride only lasts 35 minutes and sure would be neat to see. If you so choose to pursue it.

As for me I've got the JR E231& 233 horn near perfected. Here's an update
What do you guys think? Is it ready?

I watched it yesterday. Looks like an ideal candidate for a real Japan Trainz route. Because it is short. At one moment you drive by the sea (which is nice) and then turn into urban areas. Only the last station is difficult to make I think.

Sounds like the real thing. Looks like a release :D

I would like to do the full length time... but I can't I'm extremely busy because the school year is coming to an end and I already have my science finals coming up. But I will make this route extremely detailed. I hope to get some screen shots soon! Also can some one make me a crossing like this? I tried reskining trainman's one but trainz makes it invisible. sorry for the large picture size.
