It's been a while since N3V have made any sort of announcement about the future direction of the Trainz franchise.

Is this it, have we hit the buffers?

It's standard policy from what I've seen of N3V for them to not announce any development until close to it's release. This includes patches as well.

Indeed. I still cannot see much info coming from N3V though unless they are about to release something (or sometimes when they've released something)

I think the big question is will their be a patch for 2012, or a brand new version, TS13. I seriously doubt if there will be both.

No need for any negative speculation and unless you are on the Beta Test team you are not going to find out, however there are some clues for all to see.

First clue is a recent post made by a tester on instructions from N3V re warning about the tightening up on the validation of mesh libraries with immediate effect.
Second clue is the new DLS WIP leak...... found by a user on here.
Third clue is version 3.7 uploads being tested, we are only on 3.6
Fourth possible clue was the exciting news hinted at in a Newsletter a couple of weeks back, although that may have been something else?

New version of Trainz if it was imminent would have probably been announced by now, so that probably means the Soon ™ service pack.

I thought they were pushing their other simulators, every Trainz Newsletter I get seems to highlight another simulator like the recent one about the snow devices.

I expect any new version to be labeled as 14 or 2014 for the international version.
