The morning local forgot to throw the spur switch to realign with the main, causing this for the rerouted Super Chief, the next train scheduled to come through. What's more, the train had nearly collided with the eastbound S.C. at the Tehachapi Loop, all due to the air brake line having been torn in multiple places from a hailstorm the previous day, with winds so high it threw hailstones into the air line, right as the train departed. But, enough backstory, here's the picture:
