Is creating Sessions a waste of time ?

I will try that. Don't you think this could be why you are not seeing your work d/l'd?

That may be part of the explanation. But as its taken to the 5th page of the thread for anyone to raise its hard to say how much impact its having. In CMP if you select category SESSIONS (assuming you have a reference to them at all) they show up.

There have been a number of great suggestions made in reponse to my orginal question, and I now have a number of ways to make my future sessions easier to find.

Edit: On investigation I have found that while Kind is set correctly to Profile in config.txt of my sessions (which seems to be what CMP is looking at), Category is set to YS instead of YP (category must be what DLS uses). I'm guessing this is a legacy of the 2004 origins of the base session I use. I will correct in the versions soon to be uploaded. Thanks to Sargon for spotting this.

Session is not a waste of time

When you build a prototypical map, you can make a scenario and see trains driving on schedule, especially with the program SCS2006.

It helps you also to correct all the errors you made on the map and therefore improve the line and its sidings with appropriate signals and scenery objects around it. :)

I think that a session created using surveyor is on the DLS as a session but a session cerated using SCS2006 or any independant senario creation program appears on the DLS as a senario .
Using CMP you can use :-
search ,catagory ,session for sessions created using surveyor or
search ,catagory ,senarios for the rest
I allways check for sessions and senario's as I like to see how others use that route/layout before I set up a session that suits myself
cheers
