Hey,

Just thought I would make a quick introduction to the Trainz community. I'm Trevor from Toronto, Canada. I have a strong interest in Streetcars (Trams), Subways and Electric trains. TS2010 is the first version I have ever used, and it's fantastic. Very active community here! Look forward to contributing.

Cheers,
Trevor

G'Day Trevor, I'm Jamie and I too have an interest in more 'Urban' Scenes,
Have a look on the DLS 'Paulzmay' for trams and some urban equipment, and Cosey, for a lot of trams. Not sure what you're after but I would guess PCC??

I like PCC. I also like the Boston Streetcars. I'm having difficulty locating things on the DLS. I get a lot of errors when installing routes through the content manager. Usually a "faulty" asset or KUID not found...

Are there any good subway routes on DLS?

Hi Trevor....

Welcome to the world of Trainz.

I'm Mart(in). I'm still pretty new to trainz myself but I have learned alot very quickly. One thing...as a newbie, you'll find errors in almost everything you download. The main reason for this is that a few things were changed in the more recent version of Trainz and there still isn't much content that is written purely on or for 2010.

Alot of the content was for older versions. Eventually, as more and more people create their content on the newer format, errors will become less frequent. Most errors can be fixed though but it's best to find your way around abit first before you get into all of that.

So, the tip is, learn the ropes abit...ask questions and take it one day at a time. There is a thread that is listed as a sticky called 'errors and how to fix them' or something simular. I'll provide a direct link below. Take a look at that sometime but as I say...don't rush it otherwise you could end up in a mess.

Trevor,

Hello and welcome to the forums, and the weird and wacky world of Trainz. I sincerely hope you don't have a life, because you may soon find yourself sacrificing elements (family, hygiene) of said life.:hehe::hehe:

On a serious note, though, if your looking for urban items for routes, Ray_Whiley has created a few items that may be of interest, including a few tram depots/tracks etc. See here for details, and this thread may also be of interest.
Although the items are based on UK prototypes, they do go well with most other countries. I use a few on my Australian routes, and they don't look too bad.

Matt.
