Internet Railroad/Train Photo Sites

What is it with the two main Internet photo sites? I'm referring to:

http://www.railpictures.net/

and

http://www.locophotos.com/

I have taken lots of really great train photos and submitted them to both these sites, and so far only ONE photo has been accepted. Now I'm not an amature... I was a United States Air Force photographer for many years, and then after that the senior graphic artist with a large industrial firm. We took thousands of industrial photos of equipment.

Both these sites noted above won't accept photos taken on overcast days. I was taught and learned that the absolute BEST days to take outdoor photos (Aircraft, industrial equipment, etc.) are OVERCAST days, when there isn't any sun. Sunlight makes for bad picture taking because it can cause undesireable shadows on the equipment (or locomotives).

I don't think the guys who run these websites know a lot about photography. They probably reject a LOT of great shots because IN THEIR OPINION the photos don't meet THEIR idea of what a good photo should be.

Yeah, I'm venting my frustrations, but some people need to wake up. They may own the sites and can pick and choose whatever pictures they want, but they are missing the boat in many cases by rejecting good pictures.

Any one else feel my frustration?
